I'm not getting married. But if I was I would definitely be having a hen night and I would definitely be doing more than just going to the pub. Saying that who doesn't love a pub? Even better who doesn't love making life simple and combining something unique and fun with a pub - for the perfect hassle free hen night.
It definitely feels like pre-marriage partying isn't what it used to be, with brides looking for something a bit different to do to mark the occasion. Many hen 'nights' also include a really mix of ages and interests - and whilst cousin Amy might love a tequila and a disco ball, Aunt Linda prefers the quieter life and isn't so keen on the idea of drinking games past midnight. This can mean that the organizer is left with the problem of pleasing all of the people all of the time.
Well, the good news is I have a solution! Craft is a fantastic way to tick all the proverbial boxes. An embroidery workshop is fun and relaxed, everyone can do it (yes, that is a promise) it gives you a hand-made momentum of the day and best of all ... it can be done with a Prosecco in hand! (or nearby at least)
Whether you want to host at home or in a pub, a Sip & Sew workshop is a great way to get the girls together for plenty of sipping, sewing and fun! With personalised patterns for the big day and all materials provided, its a super way to kick your day off (it's also mess free so means you can stay polished before you hit the bars!)
And whilst I definitely wouldn't encourage sock darning as a new marital pursuit, it's also a lovely skill to have and one that really can be picked up with a couple of hours tuition, which means your guests will leave with their own personalized embroidery *and* a skill for life ... which should definitely stand you in good stead for a decent wedding present in return. You are very welcome.
